On Sunday of February 13, 2011 at 9:50 am the sound of bomb blast heard clearly when I was working in the office, it was some where near me, probably may be in the heart of Yala town, my colleague on the 2^nd floor rushing down to me and says

“ do you hear the blast?” I say “ yes, I do” he says “ where is it?” I say “ may be not too far, there…the black smoke coming up in to the blue sky’ he says “ o..o.. com…mon…”

The security arrangement to save the Yala city from the insurgent attacks was tightened since the attack on two dead soldiers guarding the Buddhist monks collecting arm in early morning of December 18, 2010 at 7:30 am near the Train Bridge or behind the Yala morning market (now Volunteer unit post is constructed) and more alert were given to all security units after the attack and carry away the weapons in Maruebotok army camp , Rangae district, Nrathiwat province on January 19, 2011 at 18:30 pm in order to filter the insurgents who will infiltrated to the Yala city to make a bomb attack. The entrance to Yala town on all direction were 24 hours alert and security check on vehicle and people were restricted, the strategic position in the town were highly protected and people in the Yala city are enjoy their life more freely after the gap of one month free bombs attack

Endless Bomb Attack and Useless Policy Making

The come and go of bomb attack become the target of politicized by both sides of the conflict parties, when the bomb was silence, the government always taken the opportunity to proclaim and announce to the people about the right or correct policy of conflict solution that they had made to stop the insurgency, on December 18, 2011 Prime Minister Abhisit Vajajiva , democrat party chief come to visit the south with his cabinet and talk about situation which in his opinion was in a good progress and move to the ‘yes’ direction (after the gap of bomb attack for some time in December 2010 and early January 2011) , he promised to lift up the emergency decree in Maelan district and other peace districts will follow suit, after he left to Bangkok not more than 3 hours on December 19 2011, the army camp in Narathiwat was attacked and a bunch of weapon was carried away. December and January of every year is the time of flooding, the activities of the insurgency are dropped down to it lowest every years at this period of times and become normal again(for the side of insurgents) in the second quarter of January, the new technique, new strategies and new tactics will also applied by the insurgents to testify the strength of their force before going down to the battle field for the whole year to come. The Yala city bomb attack and of its kind is nothing new but to boost the moral and spirit of war to the members of the insurgents group traditionally, to test the power of bomb mechanically, strategic shifting target position ideally and to infiltrate the strong protection strategy of the government efficiently. The new solution agenda of the conflict south written by the government in the last seven years is not “go” any where but at the same place and the same platform as in the last hundred years of the Patani Malay insurgency in the south that is the “military force aggressive policy’ which created death, fear, gloomy and untold cruelty of the Thai government actions toward the Patani Malay people(policy of must be Thai), these all unwanted mechanism of Thai government sadly, reflected at the out come of the insurgents cruel operation activities toward their enemies and some times the innocence Malay Muslims(sided with Thai Government) and the Thai Buddhist people who naturally sided with the Thai government in Bangkok(The reason of why Para-Military organization in the south was established by Queen Sirikit) .

International Peace Organization and the Patani (Internal) Conflict

The latest Yala city bomb blast today causes 18 injured and no dead(the dead toll in this conflict reached its more than 4100 persons)report, the blast is not an unfamiliar phenomenon in this city for the last 7 years of conflict, the conflict labeled by Thai government as “the unrest in the Thailand south”, marked by Thai government as “Thai Internal affairs”, believed by Thai government that “ we can solve our problems by ourselves” .

Stand with this concrete principles for the last sevens years, in fact trace back to 1909 (Bangkok or Anglo-Siamese treaty)in the time of King Rama V which intentionally gluttonized the Patani land as part of Siam by the help and cooperate with the British imperialist who in turn need to preserve her power and interest in the region which created no space for the mediators to facilitate and build the sustainable peace in this conflict.

“ I have no any special interest in these principalities(Malay land)…..if I happen to lose these principalities to the British, I will lose only silver or gold Trees(Bunga Mas), other than this tributaries no more losing of any materials(assets) , however losing of these principalities mean destroying the honor of the country that’s the reason why I have strongly emphasis as the owner of these part of the land(Malay land)”

Said King Chulalongkorn or Rama V on visiting the Malay principalities or Patani in 1891, the period of the expansion of British influence in Malaya.

Many international peace organizations had lose their intention on persuading both parties to peace term, conform with the words of great king of Siam above, the Thai government of the last hundred years was never recognized the conflict as a free political, historical, religion culture and ethnic demands of the Patani Malay people in the Thailand south.

To enter the first chapter of peaceful solution to this conflict, the international peace organizations who sacrifice themselves for human better living in this world should reconsider and re-understand the questions (words of king)above clearly, seriously and thoroughly before making any decision to work for peaceful living in this Patani conflict peace solution , otherwise you will waste your times for nothing as the previous international peace organizations who ran back to their home for a peace of mind and want to sleep in peaceful situation.
